Types of Bribes

Today..when I was at Registrar office.it occured to me..common man is used to giving these bribes..he sees all bribes no matter how big it is..well for me..i would like to classify them in two ways..1..bribes to bend any rules..the range is from as small as traffic cop to as big as 2G scams..no matter what level of corruption involved..both the giver and receiver ought to be punished...2..bribes to expedite your work..you have your documents in place..yet the official still expects some flavor from you to put your work on fastrack..the receiver is more heartless as they tries to cash your weekness..weekness born out of necessity..The Type 1 has an indirect and type 2 has a direct impact..people do know the root cause but lack of transparency on the govts roles and responsibilities make these situations much worse..

Memory of a Friend...

Is he my servant, friend or a brother?

I asked this question to myself atleast a thousand times.

The day when my father had bought him to our home and introduced him to me, I wasnt excited at first.
He was a black sturdy man. He is of medium height. He is not one of those who gets a second look. Yet, he was humble.
He obeyed me as his master. At first I was reluctant to take him in.
He would wait for me, eagerly looking at me when would I start talking to him.
It took me few days before I could break the ice. My first word to him was "Hello". He smiled gently.

Let me tell you, I wasnt really impressed with him at the beginning. I was hesitant to introduce him to my friends.
I think he understood that. He never complained. But, he is very happy to be with me.

Slowly, things progressed. I started liking him. We used to play together, bricks game was our favourite. We used to break records, day after day. It was an obsession for us.

Whenever I was in a dull mood, he would lighten me up with his singing. He would sing my favourite songs always trying to lift my spirits. He knew me very well, more than my parents!! He knew all my secrets, afterall he was my confident.

Did I tell you, he is a good photographer too? Whenever there is an event, he took some candid shots, which I share with them my friends for a good laugh. He would be beaming with pride!!

When my marriage was set, he was the most happiest one on this planet. He was happy to carry my messages to my fiancee.

We were inseparables, he moved away from being to my servant to becoming a friend. A great friend, who never ever denied to help me out even at an odd hour.

One day, it happend!

My friend lay motionless on the bed. I tried my best to make him talk. He simply didnt. I took him to the ER, it took them 3 hours to revive him. They put him on life support.

Things have changed from then. He wasnt the old friend. He looked tired , he would go back for rest. Things have turned into worse. One night he was lying in the bed. I sat next to him, looking into his eyes. He didnt say a word, but his eyes spoke.

"Let Go!! Its time!!"

I was shocked, I wasnt ready for it. Afterall it was just 6 years since we knew each other, there is more journey ahead.

But I had to! He blinked for one last time and closed his eyes forever, peacefully.

I still miss him, my dear old Motorola L72.

God's Mankind or Mankind's God

I want to be a Buddha, an awakened one! but what should that awakening be? Do I need to realize something? Am I missing Something?
The world I am in is no longer has Dharma. The belief "Dharmo Rakshita rakshitaha" no longer implies.
Wherever you see its human Greed!
A greed in form of money, a greed in form of lust, a greed in form of power.

I am bonded by those immense powers of greed. I want yo live free in a world where a force or power is no longer controlled by Greed. When I tried to search for answers (rather googled) for this misery, I understood that the solution to this misery is one, GOD.
So I tried talking to people , try to understand their behavior , read books, columns, articles, but never came up with a satisfactory answers.
Wherever I go, whomever I talk to , seems to me that they are fascinated by their God.

They believe that their God is the solution. They believe in his supremacy alone. They are not ready to give up their belief as it hurts their ego. Ego makes a man to what he is.
They fight with each other trying to establish their God's Absolute Power, in this process they are fighting themselves, in a way destroying themselves.

God Created humans only to show a way, to let people of his existence, the true meaning of God and a purpose of life.

Now, God definitely hates man. He would repent for creating such an "intelligent creature".
All his other creations in this world, always live in harmony, they too fight with each other, only if there is some kind of threat for eg: could be their existence in question, or biological needs but never out of ego or any kind of malicious intentions.

But for us, we loathe on others, on successes, on failures, we become something what we are not supposed to be, we let greed take over us, rage with jealous, we let all possible evils take over us.

We forget one thing, If there is God and he created us, he would show us a way. Human nature wouldn't let God control those moments, since we are too blinded from not seeing the truth i.e. just an another way for us in losing trust in "our" God, which is an contradiction to the man's belief i.e. his God is supreme.

Sometimes I feel like praying to God, to let the mankind turn into Atheists, so that he would cleanup this mess what he called "the mankind" quickly and starting recreating one , a better one!!

The view point on Telengana

Ok, I know its a boiling issue. But as a common man, even I have my case on this issue.
I tried to think in 5 different angles. 1. In Andhra's Angle 2. In Telengana's Angle 3. Outsiders angle 4. Andhra business man/politician angle 5. Telengana Politician's angle

1. Andhra's Angle: As a resident from Andhra area, like any one else , I always wanted to migrate to a city where the oppurtunities are abundant yet I need to feel at home. So, logically Hyderabad was the logical choice, its infra, facilities, oppurtunities and most of all as capital of AP made me opt that as my 1st choice. Now imagine that there is no Telengana issue for a second. what would you do? You send your kids to Hyd, invest there, establish families, business contacts. Whenever you look for vacation, you tend to go back to your roots i.e your village in remote Andhra. enjoy there and come back. So as an Andhraite you tend to maintain harmony between those two places.Besides Hyd is not entirely Telengana Culture, its mix blend of various cultures make it a pretty colorful place. this has been going on for quite a few decades and you have automatically inherited this property into you. Hyd and andhra. Had if you have stayed back in Andhra say Visakha or Vijayawada or some other town or a place like Warangal, you would have been in the similar position. Now, bring on the Telengana Issue, as a common man from Andhra, it is indeed very difficult to digest that the fact that these two places are going to fall apart. You feel Sad. You wish it wouldnt be necessary. You dont understand what the fuss is all about. Even after Telengana has formed and you still reside there, though telugus still surround you. You will feel that the place is like an alien to you, since your roots belong in some other "state". The Cultural differences begin to appear. The places which are once AP , will now be Telengana, for eg: Andhra special will be Telengana special etc, these reasons might appear to be silly, but they sure have impact on us.

2. Telengana's Angle: The Common man from Telengana is always proud of his unique cultural references. His unique blend of telugu and urdu, the muslim influence, its food habbits, the festivities and most importantly one should remember that they were part of Hyderabad state during our Independence Struggle. After the great struggle of Sri Potti Sreeramulu , after Nehru announcement of states based on Languages. The Telengana part was merged into Andhra, this could be one of the reasons where they might still feel that they never belong here at first place and struggle to get along. After Hyderabad was announced as the capital of the new state, people from various corners especially Andhra and Rayalseema tried to set in their businesses. The reason I think is because of the british rule, under british rule, India was able to pick up english and their business trades and strategies, Since the Telengana was under Nizam rule even post Aug 15 , 1947 they werent exposed or as advanced as the rest of Andhra. so they were bit slow to come out of their places to Hyderabad. The end result? People from Andhra started investing in Hyderabad, industries, pharma, IT the rest is history.
The people of Telengana always felt alienated because of this biased incidents. The rest of Telengana was always neglected, businesses didnt flourish, people had to struggle to prosper, most of them had to flee their places to look for oppurtunities in Hyd or worse Mumbai and other parts. Since they joined later, they still remained in the queue waiting for their turns!!
This left the people from Telengana in frustration and the demand for separate state was always there!! The problem of Naxalism and radical thoughts also added fuel to this controversy, business men were never encouraged to invest in parts of telengana due to Naxal issue. Such social problems added more momentum to the already sensitive Issue.

3.Outsider's Angle: A sensitive issue as Telengana always makes the outsiders uncomfortable. The last 45 days have been very sensitive in AP. Bandhs, strikes, agitations, pen downs , boycotts in all over AP, making it the most unsafe place to be in India, next to the borders of Pakistan. If a separate state has been announced this would be a added advantage to the other state agitators fighting for their separate state. Andhra is one of the largest states in India both in area as well as population, if such a fate has occured to such state, imagine for smaller states demanding more smaller states? The investors wouldnt prefer to invest in such sensitive areas for obvious reasons, reports suggest that the last 45 days i.e Dec-Jan2010, AP has witnessed loss of investments, jobs, tax money and destruction of public and private properties and worse of all, lose of human lives. This obviously makes AP a laughing stock.Once proudly known as the Annapurna of India i.e. the rice bowl of India, now will be representing the shame of non unity and invidiualism.

4.Andhra's Business Man and Political Angle: Most of us knew / dont know that all the MPs from Andhra region are very good business man or vice versa. Honestly, I need to agree that politics is a way for them to flourish their businesses. Their investments mostly in and around Hyderabad would be at stake i.e. losing their value, sentiments etc. As a business guy, this is indeed extremely bad news, oppurtunities would be lost. To make another Hyderabad, it would take atleast 15 years . In this global village , no fool could do that!! so they have every right to agitate. As a full time politician, division of state would only result in less power at the central. Small states always lose their voice in the parliament, this is undeniable fact. While few parties see the divide and conquer methodology as their advantage, this is indeed a very bad move. The bigger the state, the stronger would be , the better the advantages. You might question me that despite AP boasting 32 Congress MPs in the current session, AP still enjoys a very little power at the centre. Well, you are true my friend. This was an unfortunate exception, since there is a coalition govt at the centre, we had to give away most of the positions to the other parties in the coalition, had if YSR was alive today, we could have enjoyed more benefits without having any power, but we should remember that we have enjoyed such benefits during NDA regime, when TDP was in power in AP, and Mr Babu has offered an outside support to the NDA. Each has its advantages.

5.Telengana's Politician Angle: The politicians from Telengana region are very good orators and full time politicians. AP's political history has seen 2 CMs and 1 PM from this region. There were good leaders from this area, leaders with charisma. But these leaders have always succumbed to their insecurities. All they wanted is power share. Though given enough power unfortunately they never did their duties completely. I just have a question, the last 60 years of AP history, were there no MPs,MLAs from Telengana? Did telengana was left alone? No, Every educated person do know that every year, MPs and MLAs have their share of funds to develop their constituencies , every MLA or MP do gets his share, where did all the money go? Had if they have invested for the public welfare, the state of Telengana wouldnt be in this miserable condition. Some places even doesnt have a basic transportation or health system. The ignorance and innocence of Telengana people helped these politicians to enjoy power, as I told you these politicians are very good orators and full time politicians. They deceived our dear old Telenganaites.
The students from Telengana are the most powerful community , AP has witnessed in recent history. But, even these students arent thinking beyond the box. Telengana becoming a new state, has obviously has its advantages and disadvantages, but the student community has to gauge it carefully. In this global village scenario, one needs to think what is in for them in the future.

My View: Destruction brings no fortune. Dialogue and committees never bring results. To have Telengana or no Telengana only brings in more cultural differences and hence more hatred atleast for time being. I have read a lot of columns and blogs, I have seen the comments from various people from Telenagana and Andhra region, few of them are already disgusting to read.
Telengana people thinks that they are left alone, no my friend you are not alone. Visit places in Andhra and rayalseema. There are places just like yours, no development, corruption, famine etc, the only difference between Telengana places and Andhra places is just the name of that location. The fate is same!! The villages in Srikakulam, Agency region of Vizag are as worse as places in Anantha, kurnool , as in Prakasam, as in Adilabad , Nizamabad.
Its not that we should divide, its time for us to stand united, raise our voice not against each other, but against the Central, demand for the injustices being made to our state, not fight against each other but fight the corrupt. not cry on each other but to cry for the unfair resource allocations.
Stand up, be a proud Telugu, be a Indian, most of all be a Human!!

Grown Up Men Dont Wear Diapers

What should you do when you face a real threat?
A Threat could be anything insecurity at job, some differences with your loved ones, a problem in making your love life a succes? Come On! What do you do? Pee in your pants and pretend nothing has happened to you?
I tell you real men will not pee in their pants.. They take up the situation into their hands..
It might be tought at the beginning, think , rethink talk to the most trusted friends, seek their opinion, and face the challenge..if its something with your job , you can reload urself , i mean learn stuff and try agian..If its love ...You should talk to the person u r in love with , take a bold step and talk to your parents..They might say a big No! They might threaten that they may try their lives..blah blah..It happens everywhere..When the situation is intense ..give it a break..not a break to ur problem..try talk to them say how much u care about them and ur love..convince them, give them a broader picture of your life with u , them and ur love together.
I believe in one thing.. When you dont have guts to win your love, dont ever fall in love...and even if u fall in love, dont ever express it.

What am I?

25 Years Old! Did I see the whole world?
The Answer is No.

I am from a small town called Narsipatnam , in Andhra Pradesh,India. Since my Dad was an Officer in a bank I grew up in several places, travelling widely around the state. That is where I got a chance to have a glimpse of this beautiful world..

People... different people...different attitudes..different colors..different languages..They are just different...I used to wonder whaT it would be like if all people look alike ,talk alike and think alike.. You got the picture? It was one of my funniest imaginations when I was a child.

As I was born in a Brahmin Family, I am greatly influenced by the Religious Philosphies of Hinduism, which I proudly follow even today..

This doesnt mean that I get up early in the morning Do the SandhyaVandanam, recite some Vedic Mantras and sport the typical Brahmin Ponytail.

My Dad is a great man, he taught us the morals of life, how to love and care other people, though I dont recollect any cinematic relationship with him, I always had fear and respect for him.He is an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. He taught us the great values of being disciplined in life ,slowly induced the Bhakti Cult onto me..With his inspiration I learnt lot of Mantras in my child hood itself..some of them to list are Hayagreeva Slokas, Raghavendra Slokam,Saraswathi Suktam..He insisted me in learning Vishnu Sahasranamaa..but I was always lazy in learning it as it requires a lot of patience to enchant it.

As days passed by I grew up old under these principles and I believe , I started looking for more Divine intervention in my life ;) I voluntarily started learning the Lalita Sahasranamam in my Plus 2 Holidays.. I strongly feel that because of the Divine Mother's blessings I was able to make it into the Engineering..During my Engineering I had a bad spell (Shani for 7 years) so I took up Eeswara Slokas to pacify the Shani. The Engineering was a dud for me..I was an above avg student till my plus 2 with 83% in my 10th and 84% in my +2. I passed my Engineering with a meagre 66% and my future started looking Bleak!

I had one of the worst phases of my life after my Engineering, with a first class under my belt and my cousins going through the campus interviews, I had a very rough time for 3 months with no job ..Then One day I started looking towards God for help..I started Learning Vishnu Sahasranamam..Guys you might not believe within a Week I was landed with 2 Job Offers..
One with Computech BizSol and TCS..Ofcourse I chose the latter...
You might think that it was a miracle and Lord Vishnu has done it for me ..But I have my own version..I strongly give credit to my Dad's relentless Efforts in worshipping Vishnu..
All these years I never Had any trouble in my academics though I havent studied straightly for an hour..It was my Dad's prayers that fished me out from all troubles I faced and still guarding me from the upcoming Ones..
